WBC/WBO champion Nonito Donaire and WBA champion Anselmo Moreno, will go head to head in an HBO televised bantamweight unification bout from the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on May 28, according to DiBella Entertainment CEO Lou DiBella.
Additionally, the HBO presentation will co-feature, unbeaten welterweight Mike Jones (24-0, 18 KOs) squaring off against Antonin Decarie.
Moreno (30-1, 10KOs) was scheduled to defend his title against Lorenzo Parra on Aril 30 in Panama; however, that bout will now be cancelled.

The Panama-native, whose last loss was in 2002, is coming off two highly contested split decision wins over Nehomar Cermeno in 2010. Nevertheless, Donaire’s trainer Robert Garcia does not agree with the recent criticism of Moreno and is prepared to dissect the champion’s skills.
“Moreno is a good fighter,” Garcia said. “I haven’t seen any tapes of him, but I’ll get them. I have a guy who can get me footage of him.”
On the other hand, Donaire (26-1, 18 KOs) appears to be wasting no time; after defeating former WBO/WBC champion Fernando Montiel by what most critics are referring to as, the current knockout of 2011.
